Golden Milk..... Have you heard of it??

Golden Milk could help minimize joint pain and reduce inflammation, fight off various infections and build immunity due to its antibacterial properties, and help with a healthy glowing skin. It can also be a way to help protect brain and improve memory functions. It can possibly tame heartburn and indigestion issues as well.

How to make it....-Mix all the ingredients (except the honey) in a saucepan on the stove. -Bring to a slight boil/simmer for 5 mins-Strain into a mug through a fine sieve. -Add honey to taste Enjoy!!

Milk – 1 glass (8-10oz)

Turmeric powder – ½ teaspoon

Black pepper (ground) – ¼ teaspoon

Cinnamon – 2 small sticks (1/4 tsp grd)

Cardamom (ground) – ¼ teaspoon

Honey – as per taste

Extra-virgin coconut oil (optional) – ½ to 1 teaspoon.

Chocolate Chip Protein Pancakes

Ingredients

1 cup old fashioned oats, I really like Bob's Red Mill, gluten free

1/2 cup unsweetened almond, or coconut milk

1 ripe banana

2 large, free range eggs

1.5 tsp baking powder

1/8 tsp of sea salt

1/8 tsp of cinnamon

1 scoop protein powder of choice

1/4 cup organic dark chocolate chips

coconut oil spray

Instructions

Place all ingredients except chocolate chips into your blender, or food processor and blend on low speed until just combined.

Heat a nonstick grill pan to medium-high heat and spray it with some coconut oil. Gently pour in 1/4 cup of batter, per pancake, then sprinkle equally with chocolate chips.

When the edges start to look golden and bubbly (about 2 minutes), flip and cook for another minute or two on the other side.

Serve with a drizzle of raw honey, or pure maple syrup and enjoy!

Lightly grease a 12-cup standard muffin tin or line with liners. If using liners, lightly spray them

Place the all ingredients except the "mix-ins" in blender

Blend on high, stopping to scrape down and stir the ingredients, until the batter is smooth, about 2-3 minutes.

Then, stir in the mix-ins.

Divide the batter between the prepared muffin cups, filling each no more than 3/4 of the way to the top.

Bake for 13-15 minutes, until the tops of the muffins set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
